40 Nights30/1/2016 Last night we screened our film before a small and intimate group of collaborators, peers, friends, and family; and it was received well. This was my third time seeing it, but first time on the BIG SCREEN. It is soo good! The story, acting, score, and overall production value is Top Shelf. I'm very proud of this movie and humbled to be part of a group of talented artists that I also can call my friends. The themes in this film are so powerful, I walked away inspired and wanting to be a better husband, friend, and Christian. I know this film will inspire others too. 40 Nights will be releasing worldwide in March 2016 through LightWorx Entertainment. www.40nightsthemovie.com

FALL IS HERE!26/9/2014 My favorite time of year! Fall in Michigan is filed with spectacular colors and fun things to do outdoors! I am in the woods October through December, hunting and gathering wood. I love to sit in a stand and be surrounded by God's creation. I highly recommend unplugging and tapping into being in the woods. Upcoming projects!16/9/2013 Our rough draft is complete for my next feature I will direct and produce. Its shaping up nicely and a really good story. A few of our other ideas are at various stages of development, including a TV pilot! More details in the next few weeks.
Rough cut on ASHES OF EDEN is done!28/5/2013 THE MIDNIGHT HOUR. This whole project, from funding, casting and crewing, production, and now editing, has came to pass in the midnight hour. As I write this, on 5.29.13 at 0009 hrs I HAVE A ROUGH CUT!!! THANK GOD. He always comes through. Always.
Ashes of Eden blog.24/2/2013 Nearing the 40 minute mark on editing our picture. Editing a feature is challenging enough. Editing a feature by yourself is a bit tougher than that. Often times I can get lost in the timeline, the past, present, and future editing choices. I talk to myself on things I liked, or didn't, and what and how can this cut together. I really enjoy making those moments. The timing, the beats, and the subtle looks, all when put together right, make that scene standout. The work is there in the performances by these wonderful actors. I just have to chisel the marbel slab, shape, and contour, until its the very best it can be.
Feeling very fortunate and blessed. Thank you all. Shane Hagedorn Writer | Director | Producer ASHES OF EDEN Final shot and stories to come.17/2/2013 We finally shot the last scene to Ashes of Eden, (www.ashesofedenmovie.com) we had to wait until we had snow on the ground and flying in the air. Fortunately, we had both. Our lead actor, Steven Sutherland, once again had to brave one of Michigan's coldest days, to help with the last piece to the puzzle.
I am in full swing with editing this picture I wrote and directed, cutting it together myself. It's a lot to take on, but you eat an elephant one bite at a time. I'm also reading a few scripts, some I'll be producing and acting in, and developing another project where I'll be stepping into the Director's chair again. Thanks for the support and prayers you all have given me and to this production. It has been received and we are experiencing the fruit of those.
